Council member Amanda Farías District 18 x R.H.Y.M.E x JHS 127

During the 2024 spring semester, Junior High School 127 students in the Bronx came together twice a week after school with RHYME teaching artists Jason Roberts and Kevin Toledo to learn about Hip Hop culture, the art of rap and a host of transferable skills embedded within the art such as communication, creative writing, public speaking and collaboration. Together JHS scholars collaboratively wrote, recorded and filmed an original Hip Hop anthem and music video titled “Worth It”

Special thanks to Council Woman Amanda Farías District 18 for making this project possible, MS 127, Kinah Ventura, Kevin Toldeo, Jason Roberts and Eric Mason.

The song was written by JHS 127 scholars and recorded at MS 127 in the Bronx. The music video was filmed by Eric Mason at MS 127.
