#ad Have you seen the new URBANLIFE Youth and Family Center in West Oakland? . . . Thanks to a grant from @Clorox’s #WhatComesNextProject, @NYCThrive and @URBANLIFEMentors transformed this building into a community center for children and their families to receive mentoring support and learn to express their creativity through art, dance, gaming and more. The new space and HOPE mural were revealed to the Oakland community this past weekend. #sponsored this is such an inspiring and much-needed project. i’m partnering with @Clorox to share with you their amazing #WhatComesNextProject. through a grant @NYCThrive and @UrbanLifeMentors are helping to transform lives through their Youth and Family Center. through the power of clean, Thrive Collective and URBANLIFE Mentors in partnership with Clorox restored this Oakland building and gave new life as community center, where kids, families and the community can learn to express themselves through creativity of all kinds – art, dance, gaming and where mentoring really gives them options they might not normally have access to. this past weekend the group revealed the center for the first time to the community, along with a mural painting in efforts to give this community something we all need more of: HOPE. check my stories to see more. photo by @joshedelsonphotography
