Projectivity and Thrive Collective returned to PS 60 The Alice Austen School in the Summer of 2024 to complete Phase Two of their extreme mural makeover, with three more full hallway productions.  Curated by Projectivity Director Christian Penn, three teams of artists each completed over 1,200 square feet of murals for different areas of the campus.

Principal Bonnano of PS 60 envisioned including different themes and specific concepts that the students learned about in each hall complex.  Artists interpreted these themes and included different visual elements to inspire students to learn more about the people, places, and subjects in the murals.

  • Complex 4: “Civil Rights in America” by Cramcept, with John Exit and Outersource, celebrates historical luminaries in the United States’ ongoing fight for civil rights..
  • Complex 5: “Welcome to the Financial Forest” by Josue Mendez, depicts the fundamentals of financial literacy.
  • Complex 6: “World Monuments” by Danielle Mastrion, with Pelumi Ayeni and Jodi Dareal, illustrates iconic landmarks from around the world.
