Queens Preparatory Academy: The Most Powerful Weapon

At Queens Preparatory Academy, Artists Ashley Crawford and Wale Ayeni were tasked with creating a mural that will inspire students to strive for further education, and nurture growth by hungering for knowledge.

This wasn’t the first time Thrive Collective worked with students at QPA, so they were all very familiar with the process of creating a mural. The design came together quickly with an assist from the school’s art teacher Mr. Akaloo. Students generated ideas both inside the classroom and through a series of take home projects. The idea that success takes time is captured by a clock in the mural, along with reminders that mastering technology helps students progress with the times.
