The “Make Space for the Arts” community mural collaboration between YUCA Arts and Thrive Collective in the Mott Haven section of the Bronx, features works by nine artists, eighteen students, and dozens of volunteers from Viacom, Kenneth Cole, Resurrection Church, and the neighborhood. The project encompasses both sides of the underpass of the Major Deegan Expressway at Alexander Avenue and 135th Street; includes seven distinct murals totaling over 2,000 square feet of public art; and was featured on NY1 and NY1 Noticias throughout the week of August 13.
