Hip Hop 50th Birthday Jam

Hip Hop artistry beautifies public spaces and brings art to the masses. The first element of Hip Hop to captivate public imagination was the visual artistry of Graffiti. The Hip Hop 50th Birthday Jam paid tribute to the transformative power of Hip Hop visuals with six canvas works by iconic Graf Writers, and two collaborative murals with party goers painting alongside their heroes. Together, they memorialized the movement. Eight completed pieces depict five decades and the future of Hip Hop, plus the power of collaborative public art.
