“Blessed Community” is an homage to the work done by members of RTG (Release the Grip); they service communities within high risk areas of gun violence as visual pillars of change. This mural featured three vignettes that depict the nature of what RTG is to represent. From left to right, RTG is present to console and reassure the community in their time of need as they are present with signs and sprinter. The middle scene depicts an RTG member flanked by youth, representative of who they’re looking to protect. The ending scene depicts the overall goal of Bronx Connect which is a healthy, thriving and loving community.
