News 12: Mural unveiled at PS 288 in Coney Island
Students and staff at P.S. 288 in Coney Island now have some artwork to look at as they come to class and work.
The project was funded in part by City Councilmember Mark Treyger and was a collaboration effort between the school and artists from Thrive Collective.
“Stopped by today to check out the beautiful mural project completed by the scholars of P.S. 288 in Coney Island. Our scholars are so talented! The artwork is stunning and I’m proud to have secured the resources for the artists from Thrive Collective to work with the school community on this extraordinary art project. In an era of physical distancing, our school community found meaningful ways to deepen connections while beautifying the school campus. Thank you Principal Dixon and the entire Eagles family for your partnership and making this happen and look forward to sharing more great school announcements!” – Council Member Mark Treyger, 5/14/21
