5th Annual 2022 Art a Catalyst For Change Queens Culminating Event
On the morning of May 26th, 2022, over 100 Queens school students converged upon Roy Wilkins park for the 5th Annual NYC Council 2022 Art a Catalyst For Change Queens Culminating Event: The Heart Beat Festival. The excitement was palpable!
The HeART Beat festival is an arts field day where students from participating schools are recognized and celebrated. Students participate in music, dance, theater, visual and digital art. The festival also includes field day games, food, music and performances. The HeART Beat Festival is produced by Thrive Collective in partnership with The Museum of The Moving Image and Black Spectrum Theater with the support of local organizations such as Young Life.

Art a Catalyst For Change is a city-wide program of the NYC Council to raise awareness and end gun violence, through art.
