It’s finally here! Today, we are launching our second #GivingTuesday campaign. Thanks to a generous friend, the first $5,000 we raise on November 28th will be matched dollar for dollar.
#GivingTuesday is a global day of giving and a great way to get involved with your favorite charities. What started back in 2012 with a handful of nonprofits has grown into a global movement that has reached 98 countries around the world and raised $177 million in online donations.
Our goal is to raise at least $10,000 on #GivingTuesday to help Bring Art Back to 100 Brownsville public school students without art or music teachers of any kind. Thanks to a friend, the first $5,000 raised between right now and 11:59pmon #GivingTuesday will be matched 1:1, making your $50 gift equal to $100, and our collective $5,000 equal to $10,000.
Last year on #GivingTuesday, we raised $4,000 with amazing supporters like you to fund one of our Murals programs at a Lower East Side middle school. Those funds were later matched 2:1, and our students used the proceeds to complete seven murals in their schoolyard with assistance from artist legends like Toofly and Claw.
