Manhattan DA Invests Seized Assets in Harlem

A very special thank you to Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance for volunteering along with almost 300 New Yorkers to beautify Thrive’s new home at the Harlem Hub on the MLK National Day of Service.

Mr. Vance is reinvesting assets seized from corporate criminals to serve youth and families in traditionally under-resourced Manhattan neighborhoods, including Harlem. [Watch WNBC’s report here.] Thrive director Jeremy Del Rio and Hub founder and visionary Maurice Winley walked the entire footprint of the 24,000 square feet Hub space to show Mr. Vance how we intend to leverage his investments in the lives of Harlem young people. Embracing the Hub as a creative space to capture and tell great stories, Mr. Vance shot the video below on his personal cell phone.
