This. Tomorrow and Friday, July 2 – 3, Thrive Collective joins an all-star lineup of artists to paint the Black Lives Matter mural in Foley Square. Our assignment: the A in “Black.”
The mural will span 3 blocks in front of the Federal and State Courthouses. Our letter sits directly in front of the Thurgood Marshall nameplate on the federal courthouse, the Civil Rights lion who argued the landmark Brown v. Board of Education case in the US Supreme Court that overturned Jim Crow and desegregated public schools. His Honor also became the first Black justice of the US Supreme Court.
Thank you, Tats Cru for inviting our collaboration. Thanks to the artists who will bring this masterpiece to life, including: Bio, BG183, Nicer, Crash, Andre Trenier, Eric Orr, Charlie Doves, Marth Alicia, Peter Paid, Art by Gia, Jamie Hef, SADE, Sienide, Mark Lawrence, Key Detail, and more.
Special thanks to Marissa Molina, Jon Souza, Peach Tao, Abby Walsh, Dax Matlock, and Rebecca Heritage for representing Thrive well.
