Thrive Collective presents “Give Thanks” to The Clemente Cultural Arts Center.
Happy Thanksgiving!
We at Thrive Collective have so much to be thankful for this year, most especially 2,800 arts and mentoring students at 23 of the 100 schools we served with 120 school partners — and the 800 volunteers, 40 artists, musicians, and filmmakers, dozens of mentors, and generous donors, teachers, parents, custodians, and principals who make it all possible.
Youth Specialties debuted this video at the National Youth Workers Convention on November 18th, just in time for Thanksgiving.
Victoria, a junior at Bronx Studio School for Writers and Artists, sums it up beautifully in this video:
“It’s not every day where a kid like me who came out of a one-bedroom apartment with six brothers or sisters, sitting down thinking she’s not going to get anywhere — it’s not everyday where someone like Jeremy is going to come up to me and be like, I have a special role for you, and I want you to take part of it. I thank God that I’m able to get this opportunity. And I think that He sent people like them to come to me and pick me up out of what I’ve been through.”
