Outgoing and Incoming Chancellors

As outgoing NYC Schools Chancellor Meisha Porter transitions the leadership of America’s largest public school system to David Banks, she was interviewed by NY1 last week. Ironically, both chancellors were featured in a recent Thrive Collective mural at Bronx School of Law, Government, and Justice. He was honored as the founding principal of the school, and she as his successor, and subsequently the first African American, female chancellor of NYC public schools.
