Jin “Peach” Tao loves creating whimsical illustrations inspired by her travels around the world. Born and raised as a happy Beijinger from China, she currently lives the life as a muralist, printmaking artist, and illustrator based in Brooklyn, NY, after receiving a BFA in illustration and printmaking from Savannah College of Art and Design. Peach is her nickname because her family name (陶Tao) shares the same pronunciation as Peach(桃Tao)in Chinese. When she’s not working on woodcut prints, she also enjoys painting fun murals and windows for bars and restaurants, as well as leading school mural projects with Thrive Collective.
Peach’s artwork has been published in books, on T-shirts and advertisements, and in Fine Art and Illustrations exhibitions across the US, the UK, France and Spain. She has held residencies in Nebraska, US, and Venice, Italy. Her prints are included in the Collections of:
