Dr. Terry Greene II holds masters and doctoral degrees from SUNY Stony Brook in Trombone and Music Performance, and has served as an adjunct professor of Jazz at both his alma mater and at Suffolk Community College since 2008. Mr. Greene has performed as a Trombonist around the world with luminaries such as Elliot Sharp, the David Murray Big Band, Macy Grey, the Roots, Amp Fidler, Tony Allen, and Oliver Lake, among others. A life-long New Yorker, Mr. Greene resurrected the concert band at IS 117 in the Mount Hope section of the Bronx last year while innovating Thrive Collective’s School Music program with the goal of introducing music appreciation and performance to underserved students just like he was.
